Holy shit!
This is pornographic advertising ... at it's best (worst?)
I'm amazing that this is considered 'acceptable'!
(perhaps that's my Canadianism showing)

Wonderful capture ... I love the irony / sarcasm

Which one of us hasn't felt the whim to try out a semi-automatic machine gun, in a sort of "let's go nuts!" kinda way, dagnammit? "Try one!" Yeah, what they hey, you only live once, right?
Guest 04-Dec-2006 00:40
:-) great find and oh so matter of fact
Guenter Eh03-Dec-2006 21:28
It`s good to show this Craig!

The thing that always amazes me about adverts is not what they say about the sellers, but for what they say about the target market. To comment on JD's point, I reckon the fact that this advert exists actually already gives weight to the fact that people would suddenly decide to get one... and that, is incredible.

Unbelievable. The sad side is that it's true. ;-(

An obscenity of a different kind. Great capture by you.
Marco Valk02-Dec-2006 19:53

Rob Rosetti02-Dec-2006 19:45
Really bad..
Guest 02-Dec-2006 18:19
What it the most scary in that one, is not the advertising but that they what you to try a full atomatic gun........ I guess some thing is rong in the States.......

I thought Point-and-Shoot was just a metaphor. This is truly chilling!
Eckhart Derschmidt02-Dec-2006 14:16
A world apart. A view we Europeans will never get used to! Great shot, nevertehelss!
Guest 02-Dec-2006 10:27

Power of Persuasion, as Ray would call it. Disturbing. As if it's asking us to simply grab one now, stand behind the rail and start firing! Glad that we only "shoot" with our cameras. Great catch, Craig.
Guest 02-Dec-2006 06:46
The amazing part is to think that they see a value in advertising for this. As if some people would suddenly decide to get one!!! Excellent capture.
Guest 02-Dec-2006 06:07

Guest 02-Dec-2006 01:00
LOL! you know very well how to compose such images, which give us more than one aspect of USA in the same time. Here the wonderful landscape... and the hmmmmm... other reality. What a great aesthetic and sarcastic eye you have :-)
