Wow. Terrific treatment of a very odd, but oddly compelling, subject.

Remarkable Craig. Your treatments are amazing.

I am not liking this one, Craig. It's very good and it's very realistic. I'm just not real fond of death. :)

Graphic and brill Craig..v.
When I was a kid there was an advert in the UK for road safety..featuring "Tufty the squirrel" to help kids cross the road.
If this was him I guess age and the wheels of a car have taken their toll.

Blood is simply here an excellent arte fact that provides this perfect dark stains to better see the clear parts. The toning is fabulous. Great work, Craig. Voted.

As with all tragedies, tainted with a hint of beauty ;-)K

WOW - you've given death color and texture and a reality
Ana Carloto O'Shea19-Oct-2006 10:16
I think your choice of image treatment was the best possible for this shot. It gave it an aura of mystery that surpasses the "death" bluntness and I must confess that from the thumbnail I could never have guess what the photo was about....
Congratulations Craig.

Stunning work - something beautiful created out of something grim.

Really sad... But I'm glad it's not in bloody color :-( Agree with Eckhart, the harsh texture and monochrome tone made the death "natural", back to the earth.

stunning treatment!

"Beautifully" composed. Very smart and well done.

Disturbing, reminds me of catherine d's dead dog sin which is still lingering in my subconscious.
Guest 19-Oct-2006 01:53
speaking of disturbing, craig :)
nice stark contrast befitting of the subject matter

I like how in your processing he is about to be captured by the slowly enveloping darknesss.

The eternal circle of life and death. The dead squirrel has already become reunited with the environment - at least in your treatment! Great shot!
Faye White18-Oct-2006 23:09
