Magnificent contrast, well seen - I've just been reading the comments below and I have to agree with Jill's, couldn't have said it any better than that so I won't try!

A upper dream world of vitality and style in color vs. A lower real world of rigidity and practicality, perhaps less glamorous. A brilliant juxaposition, well seen and thought.

Hehehe, I saw that Guenter Eh already paid this shot a visit. It is a style for which he is well known and you have equalled his style beautifully with this shot. V

Well done! I know you did not set this up, but it would be great to go back and take some friends and use this as your studio. You could set up various poses and have such fun!--Rene

There is the real life and there is the world that they try to sell us, and in comparison - an illusion - ours has less colors. Very powerful work, Craig.

I have an eye out on underground scenes too but hard to catch perfect matches with 'real people'. This is ofcourse perfectly.

Great image.
Jill25-Sep-2006 23:17
the media hype, demographics only apply to the young. they are the ones afterall with the disposible income, meanwhile, the elderly seem forgotten. Until you captured her.

A thought provoking, pulling at my heartstrings image.

And of course an excellent capture.
