I was sure I commented on this!
Really like the conversion and the catch light in the snow, comp should go without saying!

I'm ashamed to say I dont check in as often as I ought to, but when I do I'm always finding new gems. This has the melancholic feel of a 1920's film still. Perhaps a Chaplin film.. the vignetting reminds me of that kind of sad end scene thing :)

The treatment is what makes this photo fanstastic.
Chuck Inglefield23-Mar-2006 15:33
fantastic!....a real work of art this is. It's most interesting characteristic to me is its unknowable sence of scale...it's balanced so perfectly. And the processing is really top notch.
Jose Paulo Andrade23-Mar-2006 15:10
very good!!

Le printemps qui se pointe la pétale sous forme de relent d'automne. Well seen.

Oh, poor Hydrangea! It looks so sad. Superb capture and wonderful toning, as usual, Craig.
Guest 23-Mar-2006 01:08
Great shot. Reminds of me Duncan's sunflowers. The broken bend in the stem is what creates a very compelling composition here. Excellent
laine8223-Mar-2006 01:08
Ah, we have the same flower but I'm sure mine would die in all that snow :>) Great treatment as always, Craig.

It reminded me of Duncan's deadly sunflower shot... You've well captured it in your own unique style and treatment as always. Voted.

Big fat ditto to the afore. I'm sure you've some magic processing pixies working on your shots, and I love these broken life photos.

Very nice DOF here. That Hydrangea blossom has seen better days.
Love the Persel treatment you lend to many of your photos.
