Beautiful -- and very dream-like (that Bakersfield, California is a god-forsaken place, but (in this shot and others -- you've unlocked it's hidden beauty :)

Great stuff - think the treatment is spot on now.
Guest 08-Mar-2006 14:03

The whole scene alone is priceless - the tone adds to that "freaky" feeling!
Guest 08-Mar-2006 04:44
You find the most interesting things!

Lol love it. The bakersfield journey never ends - fantastic. What a gallery you are building my friend - it'll be one for the ages and I can already see it climbing the ladder of most popular galleries. If you'd like a critique - I'd say a touch too much sharpening around the bike's wheels.

Neat find. It's a little bit shocking to see a motorbike hanging from a powerpole. ;) Love your treatment.
Ray Rebortira08-Mar-2006 02:55
Brilliant!!! This is what it's like to drive a bike after too many tequillas. ;-)))))

Funny scene and a really unusual treatment.

This is comical...again excellent effects to alter the way we all see things

Hanging motorcycle? Somehow I tried to relate it to the furniture sign but I know I was thinking too much... I must have gotten lost under your bakersfield spell! Absurd but excellent find and the colors work magically well again and again :P
Guest 08-Mar-2006 01:07
Well! quite weird place, but excellent shot and treatment!
Guest 08-Mar-2006 00:37
Too freaky - when do your Bakersfield photo workshops start and where do I sign?!
Guest 08-Mar-2006 00:32
Love the absurd.

Yes Ed, Bakersfield is home to Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and . . . Korn. :-)
