Fragile tree branches as a silhouette and a strong colored background - dramatic feeling in it! Very very good Craig!

Another way of perselianism...

Great DOF and compsosition. Colors are very compelling as well. What I particularly like, though, is the subject - it's not the obvious colorful flower, but something most people would just walk past. For that reason, it's all the more interesting. Vote.

Super contrast between the sharply focused dark branches against the light green toned background. Simple but very effective photo.

So use to seeing plants bright or backlit. The dark branches really stand out against the beautiful background. Very nice!

Have to agree with Lawrence. The depth of field draws you in. Beautiful.

Out comes the D50 and look what happened. This is a great great shot and pov. The thing I liked about it is because the DOF reveals nothing about the background, it's easy to stare at this for a while and you start to lose perspective of whether this is a small bush, or a giant tree. Love the maroon in the branches and the mottled effect of the background. What a beautiful shot. Vote
