I went to West Hill and captained the 1966 Senior AA football team to the GMIAA championship. Mr. Thornton was the coach and we on the team all admired and respected our coach. A true gentleman and mentor. - Martin Isaif

I was a student at West Hill 1960 - 1965... yeah, I know 5 years for grades 8 to 11. You do the math, I couldn't... Regards, Greg

I attended West Hill from 1960 to 1964. My French teacher was Donald Peacock and my home room teacher was Garth Rolls Wilson. He used to throw chalk at anyone caught misbehaving. His aim was lousy. My fondest memory was the interruption during one of Grade 11 matrics exams when someone came into the classroom and said the President Kennedy had been shot. My other memory includes the pretty girls in my class who lived in Hampstead and who got lifts from guys with Ford Galaxy 500 convertibles. WHHS had a swimming pool and a huge football field.

I attended West Hill High during my rebellious years...1965 to 1967. Dropped out, joined the the Canadian Navy, returned to Dorval High in 1970, graduated at 21 and went on to become a Professional Engineer, Mining. I am now retired....Bruce Galt. To Mr Lawrence who said I was not smart enough to get out of high school!...YOU WERE WRONG!

William Shatner attended the originally named West Hill High School which was renamed Monklands High School, the location was on West Hill Avenue at Monkland Boulevard. The West Hill High School in your photo is the fairly new building. My Mother attended the original West Hill with Shatner and I attended the school above. Cheers. Nice to see the old school.
