This shows the Hubbards Cave south entrance without it's enormous gate in place. The old gate, built in 1986, had been removed. The new gate was being put up the next day. This scene may never be seen this way again. Notice the three people in the photo, two inside the cave itself.
The entrance area is lit with all natural light while the inside of the south entrance is illuminated with one Sylvania #3B flashbulb, fired in a Graflex flashgun by Brian Roebuck. Brian is standing on the base of the old gate. Janice Curtis is shown standing outside while Lynn Roebuck is deeper into the cave's south passage.
