This image shows the upper section of Jive Hole, a 181' deep shaft. Notice the caver on rope and silhouetted in the entrance for scale. On this day, the outside temperature fell to 15'F. while we visited the pit. Fog and snow gently creeped into the entrance while 3 seperate waterfalls plummeted into the cave only to form a single waterfall a short distance down. This, of course, we had to rappel through and climb out of in order to visit the cave. Needless to say, we froze instantly upon exiting the pit for the walk off of the mountain.
