Cumberland Caverns on January 5th, 2003

All images in this gallery were taken in the non-commercial sections of Cumberland Caverns. Each image has been reduced in size for faster viewing, resulting in some quality loss. Some images in this gallery have sparkles in them that might appear to be noise, but, it is not. That effect is caused by the gypsum crystals that cover the wall reacting to my lighting.

That "strange rock" looks like it might be an Indian artifact. I've seen items in museums that look very similar. I beleive they were used in games where they rolled the rock and, perhaps shot arrows at it. At any rate, they certainly used shaped rocks in games. Larry E. Matthews NSS #6792-F

Very nice work Tim. Now that I am starting to use my own digital camera, I need to think about doing something like this as well to share with others.
