These images were taken during a trip to Conley Hole on 12-21-2003. This pit is a U.S. Natural Landmark. Turn of the century visitors paid $0.10 for a ride in a cage to the bottom, around 165 feet below the entrance. The entrance hole is overexposed due to my failure to bring a flashgun sync cable. This caused shutter speeds to be excessive in order to capture the flash firing. Better luck next time...
