Milford Sound is a popular tourist spot inside the Fiordland National Park. With the great work of the glaciers, Milford Sound has steep mountains and thick rain forest. Along the road from Te Anau to Milford Sound, there are also many beautiful scenery and photo stops. The only draw back is that the weather of this region is more rainy and the road to Milford Sound may be closed in bad weather.
My first attempt to Milford Sound (from Te Anau) was in vain due to the heavy rain. Luckily, we are able to go there from Queenstown on a clear day before we left New Zealand.
Having been to Milford Sound, I appreciate these photos. The day my wife and I went it was raining. It's a completely different environment when it's sunny. Great work. zM
