There are some noticeable noise at iso 400 and 800, but can easily be removed by filtering software if required.

Thanks for your clarification on comparing G10 and LX3. As you have also explained that G10 is better than A700, I will buy G10. Guest

This is an image converted from RAW, very different from the jpeg directly from the DC (which may have included some noise suppression/filtering). So, we need to use an apple to apple test to see which one is better. In fact, I don't think their difference is great as both use CCD sensor.

Thanks for your advice. As a compact camera, looks like LX3 has a better control on noise at high ISO than G10. Guest
