I spent a few days in Bangkok with my family during the 2006 Christmas. I have not been to Bangkok for the last few years. I do see many new developments and buildings during this trip. Christmas in Bangkok is surprisingly festive. There are many celebration activities with impressive decorations in different places (e.g. hotels, shopping Malls, etc.).

People in Bangkok are in general very nice and cheerful apart from some of the devious taxi drivers. However, the road traffic in the city is really horrible and traffic jam is a must for most of the hours. As such, do take the Skyrail and avoid the road traffic as much as possible. Like many big hotels which located in the opposite shore of the river, the Millennium Hilton hotel that I stay provides free shuttle boats to the nearest Skyrail station for its guests, a rather enjoyable river ride indeed. As I went there with my family, I did not have much "free time" to take photos and candid, just some very ordinary tourist shots to share with all of you.
