Thelma is the grandmaother of Miles Carver, and the mother of Dorothy Carver. Thelma was born April of 1914, and she died July of 2001. Thelma had three children, Oliver "Sonny" Baxter, Barbara (Baxter) Simpson, and Doroth Vivian (Baxter) Carver. Thelma was married to Henry Ross Baxter.

Thelma was very active in her community, and recieved mant humanitarian awards from the state of New York. Thelma also had a very good career as a blues singer. She also Sang with the "Sweethearts of Rhythm".
