Cat - this is amazing - I have to come up with a self portrait for another forum and I am having the hardest time thinking of something - I think I have a block about doing something of myself - I like portraits of people I don't know - then it's just art - no strings attached. The patterns and colors in this are gorgeous - the blues really make the orange face the focal point. Carol

It is beautiful Cat. I love the play of colors, texture motif, and the mistery the portrait takes by using two different color-schemes. I admire your work in general anyway, excellent! Rox (from the allthings forum)

Thanks, Eldar. This started out as a charcoal self-portrait for a drawing class, and like most of my art, it just evolved over time.
