I arrived into work yesterday and started as I usually do my reading the latest news on Engadget.com. The rumors were increasing that a new 16gb iPhone was due to be launched. After some investigation I spotted that 02 had also revised their monthly tarrifs - they were now something similar to what I was already paying on my 02 mobile contract.

At 3:30pm I phoned the 02 Store in the Castle Court shopping complex in Belfast. They apparently had just received a limited batch of the new 16GB iPhone. I decided that I'd go down and have a look at one.....and ended up coming home with an iPhone. I had to wait while the manager added their stock of iPhones into their inventory so that he could sell it to me.

So far my experience has been good...wonder how long it will take for that to wear off and for me to get a dose of reality that I've just blown a huge pile of money (329UK£ / 644US$) on a phone? :-)
