A walk through Bodie


This is Bodie, or rather remains of Bodie. Only about five percent of the buildings it contained during it's 1880 heyday still remain. Today, it stands just as time, fire and the elements have left it, a genuine California gold-mining ghost town. Designated a state historic park in 1962, it is now maintained in a state of "arrested decay". - Excerpts from the park brochure

Very good images of Bodie. I first learned of Bodie about 10 yrs ago and have been twice.. Would like to go in the winter but, at 8,000 ft elevation I'm sure it's coooold! Again, Great shots
