What is painting with light? Esentially isn't photography painting with light! We use the camera be it film or digital to take light and convert that light into an image either on film or your computer. Going one step farther what about taking the already photographered image and then modifying it further through various mediums to alter the original image into something that is the same but yet different.

A painter uses his paints, brushes and his eye to create an image that he sees with his eyes. It can be a faithful reproduction or a completely abstract version of the scene that he was putting down on his canvas.

Being, that I cannot draw a straight line, I find that sometimes using photoshop helps me to express what I have seen and captured in digital form into something else.

I am changing the light that I captured in digital form and then converting it into a different light form. Sometimes you can paint with light by taking pictures of light and through camera manipulation you can make a totally abstract art form of just light.
