I have a cosco summit carseat. I want to take the harness out and use the shoulder belt option. This is for my five year old (40 lbs. and 45 inches). Do I need to take the base off or leave it.

I have a 1987 Chevrolet Suburban. It does not have shoulder belts in the 2nd or 3rd seats. I need carseats for my 3 & 5 year old who will be sitting in the 3rd row. Both are over 40 lbs. I'm looking for a carseat that will work with just the lap belt. I've talked to several Chevrolet Dealerships who say that they cannot install the should belts in the rear seats or even the tether anchors. Any suggestions?

I just purchased a Britax Marathon, and I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey. The Van only has tether anchor points, not LATCH. How can I modify one or the other, so I don't have to use seat belts?

Where in the U.S. can I buy a Britax Expressway with ISOFIX? Britax USA tells me they are still offering this model, but everyone has either discontinued the seat, or is out of stock...Help!

I wonder if there are any pictures or anyone out there who has used the LATCH system on the 2002 Mercedes C240 ... in Canada ... any input would be helpful! Which carseat fits? Anyone know? Our mercedes dealer says nothing is available in Canada. Is that true? Still searching ....

Thanks for the information. Nice sharp color photos, which helped clear up some confusion as to what components to look for in our own vehicles. Our 2001 VW Jetta has the LATCH and upper restraint attatch points. But, our 2001 Suburban only has provisions for the upper restraint strap but does NOT have provisions for the lower LATCH design.
