This gallery contains photos from our Ecuadorian Birding Adventure. Many thanks to mi amiga Mary for her hard work arranging this trip and making it such a success. Our trip was superbly planned and implemented by Carmen Bustamante of Bird Ecuador and Cabañas San Isidro, http://cabanasanisidro.com/. From the moment we were met by our driver at the Quito Airport, until he dropped us off again at the end of the trip, we were brilliantly cared for by our drivers and guides and by each of the lodges at which we stayed. We are so grateful to our guide in the Andes, Roger Ahlman and to our native guides at Sacha Lodge, Oscar Tapuy and Pablo. Their skill at recognizing and finding birds allowed us to see and/or hear a collective 536 species in 17 days. I have chosen to include some poor photos where they are the only photos I got of a given species.
Great work Carol. I enjoyed visting your site and Shirley's birthday photos. I see your Mom's enjoyment of gardens and nature has been passed on to you. It's an awesome world ....and worth the time to enjoy it. Keep recording it. Betty Borg
