The Port of Siuslaw in Old Town Florence
The Port of Siuslaw covers of 780 square miles. It is comprised of the Siuslaw River and its tributaries, which reach back to Veneta on the outside of Eugene. The Port District includes King Estates Winery.
The mouth of the Siuslaw is approximately five miles west of the town of Florence. The marina in Old Town is a picturesque commercial and recreational marina, which includes the commercial wharf and docks, a waterfront boardwalk, a recreational marina, with an RV Campground to the East.
The Siuslaw is a natural Chinook and Coho salmon river. Fisherman should check local regulations during the fishing season. The Port of Siuslaw is a partner with the Watershed Council, who was awarded first prize worldwide for their efforts in rehabilitation to the upper Siuslaw watershed. Just up river to the East from the marina is the entrance to the North Fork on the Siuslaw. Visitors are invited to go kayaking and should check the Port's website for the many different locations of the public and private boat ramps on the Siuslaw River and North Fork.
