This caracal was in a private zoo that my photo group got to go to. When we first saw it, it was by the building and not in a good place to photograph it. I went back to the car later and as I was approaching the pen again, it was stalking a bird. Finally, it went to sit in the shade. Unfortunately, it didn't sit far enough forward in the shade so I got the sunny background I'd rather not have. It got interested in me and came right up to the front of the cage which ruined any other opportunity. It's the first time that I've ever seen this type of cat.
