Went up to the Adirondacks using the southern route up route 8 to Speculator. The color was dull and most of the leaves were down on the mountains. I was lucky to find one spot with some color and the sun and some blue sky even poked through! After one more disappointing spot, I turned around and headed home. I'm amazed at the change in just one week.
