Early in the morning, on the way up to the Kaeng Krachan National park, we saw the Nightjar flying. I never got a chance to take a picture. But when we came back to the resort in the evening we heard the Nightjar calling loud, it was close. Tu, our guide, found the bird and lit it with a spotlight. I was able to autofocus and get a shot. But I was too close and had the remove the extender to fit the whole bird in the frame.

This is my only bird picture so far shot in darkness.
