This is the final image created by stacking 12 photos taken with varying points of focus. Stacking was done with Photoshop CS4. The 'original' image is 1280 pixels wide. See the 'next' photo for and example of one of the images showing the limited depth of field.

For the nit picky amongst you, the technique is known by different names. Adobe does use the term "auto-blend focus" in one place in their online help documentation, however, the user interface is "auto-blend > stacked image". Several online articles refer to this as "focus stacking" or "depth-of-field stacking".

nice, though it will be nice to see all the 12 images , to know what the software actually did ?
did u try one where u shot at say F 2.8 , n stacked them all ?

Great job. A small correction, Photoshop CS4 refers to this process as "auto-blending focus"
