Message from Juan Cardona
I'm a nature photographer based in Colombia. Living in such a biodiversity-rich land gives one the opportunity to meet and photograph many wonderful creatures, from plants through bugs to birds. I've been interested in wildlife and botany since I can remember. Being trained in zoology and botany has allowed me to improve the experience of living in the midst of the neotropics, and now I can quench my childhood curiosity and later frustration of finding a cool bug, frog, or plant and not knowing its name and not having who to ask. The lack of available and affordable field guides about Colombia's nature has always bothered me, and I plan to correct this through my own books and photographic projects.
This site is intended to showcase Colombia's Nature through the lens of my camera, so everyone can see how beautiful Colombia is, and so the desire and will to protect its wildlife and its habitats grows stronger.
