Allison's Prosthetic Research

Below are photographs of the progress regarding the prosthetic research for Sea Turtle Inc.'s one flippered Atlantic green sea turtle named Allison. There is a revolutionary jacket with an attached stabilizing fin that was designed by Tom Wilson, an STI intern.

i feel really bad for allison but who ever made that vest for her they did a good job and i don't mean just good i mean awesome i visted turtles inc on my way back home from padrea and i will be back soon bye

i just adopted Allison today. i could not be happier. i am going to see 3 sea turtles released tomorrow. i can't wait!!! P.s. i love Allison so much i am going to cry take good care of my Alli.

Hi, my name is ilich I am 6 years old. I love the sea turtles. My dream is to work with the turtles like you, and that is why I want to be a vet so that no turtle gets contaminated or die. We have to save turtle because sea turtles are good animals. My sister helps turtles and I want to help sea turtles with her.
(My kid brother insisted on writing you a message himself, he has a big heart and wants to do everything possible to help save his favorite animals.)

Hi, my name is Patricia and I am a turtle lover, I have been involved in Sea Turtle protection since I was really young. My grandparents used to take me to the beach to guard the turtle’s nests here in my island country of Puerto Rico. I am very amazed with the work you are doing for sea turtles. The fact that you go above and beyond to find what’s best for this fascinating animals is admirable and I would like to help in whichever way possible. I am on the process of publishing a new magazine dedicated to different topics that range from environmental issues to music and culture. I would love to mention your efforts and do an article on your organization so that people in Puerto Rico and can get involved and work for a better future. Did you know that the Green Sea Turtle is the only vegetarian sea turtle? I did some research in G.A.T.E. The "bill" is not sharp enough, but it is very strong so it can tear sea weed off the ground and tear it up. I will see you guys soon in Texas because my dad (Ted Hanf) volunteers there on beach patrol. We are moving from Las Vegas.

I think what you do is really cool!! Soon I am going to do what you do, too. My Dad got us a nest and we are moving to Texas to see the hatchlings hatch. We live in Las Vegas now. I am excited, but I will miss my friends and family in Las Vegas.
