The Quorn was designed by Professor Chaddock from the UK, and described by him in the "Model Engineer" magazine. The Quorn is capable of sharpening and forming not only milling cutters, lathe and shaping tools but taps and reamers etc. Professor Chaddock recognized that no many home machinists could afford the commercial tool grinders of the day and designed this to be built by the hobby machinist in his own shop. We buy these as castings, and finish them to what may be seen in this gallery.
