Hi, I am keenly interested in more info on the water cooled Domestic Hit and Miss. I am a beginner, in gas engines, but I do have experience with steam engines. If possible can you email me so that I may pose my questions, in detail? Thanks

Carl I was doing a search on google for gear hobbers and ran into your page. It is very nice. Then I noticed you were in the Portland area and that sparked a further interest as I live in Newport, Ore. I also went up to the Gears show last year. It was the first time I had been and I enjoyed it very much. Anyway I just wanted to say hi from another home shop type. Take care, Jay

Hello Carl, I would like your permission to use some of your photos on my lighthouse website. I am mainly interested in the photos of the Fairbanks Morse Type N on the first page of your PBase photos. All the photos are superb, and the models I am drooling over!
I am a retired Canadian (BC) lighthouse keeper (32 years) and I maintain a website of stories and photos from 1900s to present. I will send you the website address if you contact me - PBase doesn't allow links from "non-members".
Fairbanks Morse engines were used as motive power for generators and compressors (for fog horns) from early 1900s to 1950s.

Hello Carl,
looking at your machines I am really impressed. Your collection is amaizing. One of the machines is a "flamelicker" and it seems that this was not a model but really used to drive something. Do you have any idea about the power generated by a flamelicker ?
Best regards
Uli
