Fire in Trabuco/Silverado Canyon, Sept. 25, 2004

This fire was put out in about 2 1/2 hours, due to the amazing action of the Orange County Fire Department's quick response and highly organized efforts. We were witnesses start to finish, and were truly in awe of the talent and bravery of these firefighters. They averted a potential disaster to our neighborhood and area, during high fire danger season. The fire was arrested after burning 13 1/2 acres of brush, and it was reported that about 150 fire personnel were at the site.

As the supervising communications dispatcher that day for the Fire Authority, I can tell you from "behind the scenes" that the battle was intense in here. But good grief, I don't think I've ever seen such unbelievably high quality pictures before of a fire scene. GREAT WORK!!! You need to get yourself a job and take pics for a living...great detail, great action and a great eye for composition! Not that I know anything about taking pics...thank you for letting those of us who never see the light of day a chance to see what we were working so hard on inside the Command Center.
