In the canal between the Environmental Learning Center and the Fort Collins, CO water treatment plant this juvenile Black-crowned Night-heron was seen fishing. Note the greenish area in front of its eye and yellow-green legs. The orange eye also makes this a very attractive bird in the morning sunshine.
