My Wife, Kathleen, ~50 yards from the finish line of the Nike Marathon (26.2 miles!) in San Francisco. She ran it with Team In Training in a fund raising effort for the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society in memory of her brother, Paul, who passed away in May 2004 from a rare form of lymphoma for which there is no known cure. This was her 1st ever full marathon.
I think the expression on her face speaks volumes.
Cropped & "cleaned up" a little with Noise Ninja's PS plug-in.
The pros finished almost 30 minutes over their usual times b/c of the large number of grueling hills. 1st place overall finished in 3:03:06.

Anyone who finish at a marathon deserves my deepest respect. In what time did she finish?

Wow Sonny, that is a major accomplishment. Congrats to her on an excellent run. I really like the expression on her face as she nears the finish line.
