Patrick,
I like the shots (even the buildings in the foreground). I guess that's what photography is all about - and why we talk about subjects. Great color - I'd like to know what white balance you used also.

I knew this shot would be a hit with this group. I took this on Saturday afternoon right after a torrential downpour and thunderstorm. I was hoping to get some dark moody shots of lower Manhattan and the NY Harbor so once the rain let up, I grabbed my camera and tripod and headed for the Subway. I had planned on taking the train to Red Hook and walking down to the water but when I got off the train this view just hit me. Aside from reducing the file in photoshop for uploading to the gallery, this is how it looked right out of the camera. I had the white balance set to "cloudy".

Fantastic image. What WB setting did you use to make the lighting so warm? The flag in the foreground, and the skyline without the Towers give this a very emotional feeling.

I like this picture. Well done.
