This is a perfect example of one of the ways the meter is fooled by white. The egret's shoulder portion of its wing is overexposed because the meter opened up for the water. Always bracket for this kind of shot and look at the histogram for anything "railed".
I agree with the other comments and love the sharpness.

That bird is beautiful. Nice and sharp. I like it against the blue water.

Thanks, you're right I probably should crop it so that the Egret is on the left and not cropped so tightly.

Nice shot and clear..I don't like the ofset to the side for this photo either to the center or the opsite..
