This lens is small and blend beautifully with my Pentax KX. Built like a thank! This is good lens but the colour is a bit cool and dull compared with latest lenses (Pentax DA*), need to tweak a bit in PS.

Great lens even works well with a 1.4 extender

Got one of these Lenses on ebay for about $250 and it works great on mt Nikon D80. But It would not work on the D50 I had. This Lens was replaced with the 80-400 AT-X. If you want a nice 400mm lens that takes nice pictures and does not cost well over $1000 then try to fine this lens on ebay. Also I bought a 2x teleconvertor by Kenko and it works well with this lens and now I have a 800mm.

for the price, although i believe it is now discontinued, this was the best AF 400mm f5.6 available!
