This camera not only takes good pictures, it makes me able to take good pictures with a few of it's nice features. If you use the scene modes, which are Ok, I suppose, you can get a setting called Museum which will take about 10 photos consecutively and keep the sharpest one. This is great since I have shaky hands. In manual mode, you can set it so that it takes photos continuously and keeps them all. Then end up being spaced about 1/2 second apart. It's amazing how facial expressions and movement can change in that time. You get great candids that way. It will fit in a font pocket on your jeans, so it's easy to carry. And while the batteries are proprietary rechargables, if you have a few or them, and they sell very cheap on ebay, you'll be good to take thousands of pictures a day. I have three batteries and I can get about 200 pictures, with the occasional flash, out of one of them. Best digital camera I've owned. A keeper.

I truly admire this camera, having one myself. It does remarkable work and isn't too complicated. It could use a few more things in it like a focus selection or one of those things that stays focused on something even when it's moving. When I now first look at all the pictures using it, I am surprised to see that it is used more like a disposable camera for party pics and vacations, etc. instead of for the searching of beauty in nature and for super good pix. It is a great camera and is good for all pictures of nature, fireworks, vacation remembrances, and parties, etc. It is very useful as it has the very many setting to choose from which provide a variety of views on one picture. It can make boring lights look crazy and cool with the fireworks mode and can do perfect focusing on small things using macro. It can make a sunset look beautiful... It can do many things and isn't that expensive. I truly admire and love to use this camera.
