it's one of the sharpest and lightest kit lenses on the market. I would recommend it over 18-70 and 18-135 models.

I actually find this lens quite good. Very sharp at close proximaties. Makes for a good beginners lens. Anything that is 55mm and below in my gallery was taken with this lens. Here are a few examples.

absolutely BASIC lens, very poor quality of an images and ... this lens is just for the beginners of photography. I would bet that nobody want to stay with this one longer then 3-6 mths. It's obvious that even 18-70 Nikkor is much much better then this one and have to be a quick replacement of this poor 18-55 baby :)
