The camera works quite fine. Indeed, amazingly well. But as with all digital images,
our pictures don't "sing" without some post-production work. Photographer Ansel
Adams once said, "The negative is the equivalent of the composer's score, and the
print the performance." Never has that been so true as today with digital photography.
Good image making, even with an SD870 camera, requires some work on the computer after
our shooting work is done.

I am surprised that manufacturer of the size of Canon is not capable to produce a camera that would be able to compete with others. I mean, what's up with these flat images, where is proper color saturation, why they are so washed out ???

Love the LCD Love the look and the original body.. Nice job Canon. now can you make it water proof so I can bring it in the pool when the kids splash the camera it doesn't break? I mean Canon I think it's about time !! Plus I want quality pics no crap please.
