Egypt - land of mystery, pyramids, and KFC? On the rough exterior Egypt looks like a land of in-betweens. From the western-style clothing stores with manequins wearing the latest covered headscarves to the McDonalds adjacent to the local kebab place, Egypt is a place of contrast. When you arrive, you can be timid, aware that you are a foreigner (let alone an American) in a completely different culture. Once you get over this culture shock, you realize that the people are proud and genuinely friendly and the culture is in awe.
