The first dozen or so are photos taken in Waterloo one evening with the digital group. This was my first effort at shooting in the dark (and cold!) I plan to take a lot more night shots and add to this gallery.
Al, I took your advice and unlightened the overlightening that I did in PS - it wasn't the camera, twas I.

Wow! The barrels have far more impact in colour than B&W. They are my favourites. Your camera is too good and trying hard to make night into day (in some cases). The tonal quality of the sky is different in each series. I think under-exposing a little more would give you more night, but at the expense of some subject detail. Having said that, I still like the first shot of the church. The sepia monotones are broken by the glowing blue window providing visual interest and artistic flair. Nice work...as usual.
