Xunyi County, China
Xunyi County, Shaanxi Province, China, is the apple growing capital of China. China now leads the world in apple production. The weekend of October 28 and 29, Janet and I, with several other foreign teachers, were guests of the County government there, and were treated like long-lost friends by children, young people and adults, wherever we went. It was a great experience.
Cherry Blossoms Qinglong Temple

Daxiangshan Temple
On April 12 we were introduced to the Daxiangshan Temple by Celia, one of Janet's students. Less than two miles from our campus apartment, and buried within one of the busiest shopping areas in the South part of the City, we came upon delight after delight, and not a few shocks.

Fuping China Ceramic Art Center
On May 19, a group of teachers were hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office to a trip to Fuping China, where we toured the Ceramic Arts Center. Representative artists from many countries have come here to create their visions of China. We were able to talk to artists from Germany, America and Australia who are preparing works of art for a soon to open exhibition.
