Tokyo - Ginza, Shiodome, Shinbashi, & Odaiba

These photos were taken on my May 2006 trip to Tokyo, Japan. They feature Ginza, Shiodome, Shinbashi, and Odaiba areas of the city. Ginza is one of the richest and most expensive districts of Tokyo. Shiodome has mostly been build since 2000 and is a "city within a city" in the Shinbashi district of Tokyo. Shiodome was very futuristic and ultramodern with train lines over pedestrian walkways over roads over pedestrian streets over subways. Sometimes it was hard to find the actual ground level! Odaiba is another new area of Tokyo, build on reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay. It feels less like the rest of the city since it is not as tightly packed and there are no older buildings there. Mostly entertainment and shops are found here.
