Heidi is a very friendly dark bay filly who should excel in dressage or hunters. She is quick to learn her ground manners and has been handled daily since birth.
Heidi's sire is Harvard who has produced numerous Elite Auction Foals, 3 approved sons, and the USDF Horse of the Year in 2003, 2004 and 2005. At his performance test Harvard scored a pefect 10 for temperament and 9.0 for character, willingness and ability to work, constitution and rideability. Harvard won Champion Line Horse Stallion at the Royal Winter Fair in 2005 and was Ontario Dressage Advanced Champion.
Harvard's sire is the 2002 Trakehner Stalion of the Year, Hohenstein. As a three-year old he finished second in the Stallion Performance test in Adelheidsdorf. He was a finalist in the five-year old division at the German Bundeschampionate. Hohenstein constantly produces top sport horses that are sold for high prices at the Elite Hanoverian auctions in Verden.
Heidi's dam is the Trakehner mare Borealis by the Polish Trakehner Damian. Damian was an International competitor in Europe from 1979 - 1984 in CDI and CDIO's. In 1988, he was a member of the Ontario Young Riders Silver medal team.
Borealis's dam was by the Elite stallion Magnet who consistently passed on a quiet temperament, good bone and ground covering movement producing 8 approved sons in Europe. Magnet's sire was the stallion Pregel whom also produced the stallion Donauwind, best known for his World Cup and Olympic Gold Medal winnings.
