After reading the previous comments, I realize that my predecessors said it all.
Accept a Canadian's gratitude for this wonderful selection. I am reminded of the
great photography exhibition "The Family of Man". There is in your photographs the
same feeling of universality as in that collection. You should indeed publish in book
form. I only came upon your work by accident. But what a happy accident!!

What impresses most is that you really achieved to deliver faces that, for a relevant part of your viewers, are clearly marked as of remote origin. Yet, they look so comfortable with the camera and close to us.

I think the overall portfolio would benefit with a brief comment from you to guide us towards your thoughts.

Nice pictures indeed. Looks like you spent lots of money and time shooting with these willing subjects. I know it is not really easy convincing them to pose for the camera. As someone mentioned earlier, you should consider publishing a book or having a show or someting. Ofcourse the pictures are beautiful, but a little story of the subject and the place where you shot would make the photo even more beautiful and interesting.

When you get a chance look at Raghubir Singh's books on amazon.com He is a very famous Indian photo-journalist from NY. "River of Colour" by Raghubir Singh is an excellent book, but there are many others. Each photo in his book has a story to tell.

Bruce - Your work is superb. I have been in photography for 50 years, have studied the "masters" of the art, and have seldom been moved so profoundly as by your portraits. Most are excellent, all are fascinating, and some (especially some of the double portraits) are absolutely stunning! You have a major talent, and some of your portraits are world class, worthy of museum exhibit and collection. Their simplicity, directness and total lack of artifice let us connect with that person in a very powerful emotional way. This is the real power of art when done by a master; it bypasses words and logic and "figure-figure" and transmits the soul of the subject directly into your heart. Not many photographers in the history of photography have managed to do this. I believe that you are one of them.

Please continue your work. It is immensely important.

I was born and spent first 20 years of my life in India. I have never seen an excellent photographer like you. You know how to bring real beauty and reality out of people. I do not know how you do it. Hope, I can do it someday. I take a lot of pictures of people from Indian origin and now residing in U.S.A. I can not even come close to your expertise.

You are inspiring me. If you do not mind, can you give me some pointers ?
