This is the second time i went to the Axalp "Flieger schiessen" event near Brienz BE Switzerland.
At the this event the Swiss airforce shows its shooting skills at the "Ebenfluh" shooting range wich consist of target markers against the mountain walls. On the site there is a control tower high up there at 2250 meters or over 6600 ft. Every year the in October the site is openend for public this year it was on 10 and 11 October. 10 Oktober was cancelled because of the weather,to much rain and clouds. (2011 was totally cancelled because of this) Luckily there was a gap that fell on thursday.
So i went up there.
The first part is by bus for a 40 minutes drive to the ski lift. From where i went up to 1850m from there a hike 2 km to the base at 1950m (6000ft) and than a climb to a slibbery 2250 meters.
The show started at 1400 until 1530 wich starts with the shooting and end with the patrouille suisse.
