I also obsess about horizons, but this is accurate, as I frequent this site from time to time. But I know what you mean.
Thanks - as a matter of fact just last week I mounted it, and last night as I was turning off the lights for bed I relalized I spent 10 minutes just admiring it (before the wife called "Where ARE you?"). Among other things, one thing I like about it is it give me a feel for Western (US) landscapes, but it's a bit unique for a NorthEast photo. [shrug]
I love this shot for the composition and the color. But I get some images similar to this where the horizon looks like it is not level even tho it is. I guess because the left of the image where the tree is, is higher that right part of the horizon. Also the grass and rocks run up hill to the left and maybe that is why the left looks higher. I still like the shot - just reminds me to think about these properties when I shoot
