Dr Buzzanell has been a friend and Deni's pain specialist since 2004, immeasurably helpful in keeping Deni's chronic pain under control. Dr Anixter is another friend and psychiatrist. Soon after Deni was admitted to hospice care, Dr Anixter saved her life by determining she had lithium poisoning due to an unusual string of circumstances—he was convinced she had a problem that could be fixed, and asked a lot of questions to figure out what it could be. Paula, his office manager, helped by calming Deni until Dr Anixter could see her, as Deni was very ill and pleading with me to take her back home.
