1988: Eleanor Stubbs (owner of Stubbs Shrubs in Oregon) and Deni in our garden, on tour during the 1988 Azalea Society of America annual convention. Many years earlier Deni and I had gone to an American Rhododendron Society convention in Oregon, didn't know a soul, and Eleanor had come up and befriended us.
