A Colorful Aurigid Meteor by Orion

Spent early Saturday morning at Lick Observatories on Mount Hamilton to watch and record the
long period Aurigid meteor shower. More info http://aurigids.seti.org/

Peter Jenniskens of SETI, arranged to have ground observations at Lick and at Fremont Peak ( over
by Monterey Bay ).

He also arranged to have two GulfStream business jets available for airborne observation.

We saw many Aurigid meteors at around the predicted peak of 04:30.

Many thanks go to Bryant Grigsby, Elinor Gates and staff of the University of California Observatories / Lick Observatory for the use and support of the grounds and power.
